Apply filters throughout the platform.

After reading this article, you will understand what filters exist on the platform and how to use them to get the most out of your platforms data.

There are a range of filters across the platform and depending on what area you are trying to access, you will be presented with a range of options to help organise the data you see.

To assist you with organising the data on the site, data has been grouped together by different options to filter by. This can be found on each page that displays a table of data and accessed by selecting the 'Filter' button, seen top right of the below. 

Activity Management - Filter button

Selecting this button on any of the pages will reveal a side menu of different filterable options on the platform. The list below breaks them down and what values they can contain. 

  • Hide / Show Archived Activities - Unique to Activity Management 
  • Hide / Show Disabled Users - Unique to User Accounts
  • Result per page - Increase / Decrease the amount of results loaded per page
  • Sort By - Ability to dictate what the table sorts by on default
    • A-Z Alphabetical
    • Z-A Alphabetical
  • Group By - Selecting any of these options affects the overall structure of the affected table. Separating data by the selected category and, if applicable, any selected sub-categories.
    • All - The default for all Group by state. This groups all data entries into one table.
    • Activity Group -  Filters data based on the Activity Group they are attributed to on their Activity Management instance. This can be broken down further to only display specific groups via the sub-menu once selected. This option can be found anywhere activity data is displayed such as Activity Management, Team Activities or Report Centre tables.
    • Activity Type - Separates data based on their Activity Type; E.g. Course, Pathway, Assignment, etc, and can be broken down further to only display specific groups via the sub-menu once selected. This option can found anywhere activity data is displayed such as Activity Management, Team Activities or Report Centre tables.
    • Jurisdiction - Separates data into groups based on the jurisdiction of the activity; E.g. Global, Malta, United Kingdom, etc, and can be broken down further to only display specific groups via the sub-menu once selected. This option can be found any where Activity data is displayed such as Activity Management, Team Activities or Report Centre tables.
    • Status - Separates data into groups based on the assignments current completion status. E.g. Completed, Passed, Not started, Failed, etc, and can be broken down further to only display specific groups via the sub-menu once selected. This option can be found anywhere Activity data is displayed such as Activity Management, Team Activities or Report Centre tables.
    • Activity - Separates data into groups based on the Activity Name. This will combine all users into tables based on the assigned instance and can include multiple assignments of the activity to the same user. This filter can also be broken down further to only display specific groups via the sub-menu once selected and is found on the Report Centre.
    • User Group - Separates data into groups based on the users current designated "User Group". These values will change based on how the platform is set up and can be broken down further to include specific groups via the sub-menu once selected. This can be found anywhere User data is displayed, such as User Accounts, Team Activities and Report Centre.
    • Office Location - Separates data into groups based on the office location of the user. These values are restricted to locations allocated to users on your platform and can be broken down further to only display specific groups via the sub-menu once selected. This option can be found anywhere User data is displayed, such as User Accounts, Team Activities and Report Centre.
    • Author - Found only on the Marketplace filters, this option will separate each activity into groups based on the user account responsible for publishing the activity otherwise known as its 'Author'.  There is no sub-menu to break these options down further.
